Who we are
This website, matek.co.in, is run by MATEK Interiors (“MATEK”, “we”, “us”), an interior design and fit-out studio in Hyderabad. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name and phone number, and optionally your email address, the service you need, the property location and size, and a message. We collect only what you type in.
When you call, WhatsApp or email us. We receive your number or email address and whatever you choose to send, including photographs or drawings of your property.
When you browse. Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data for every request — IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time — to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, financial, health or other sensitive personal information through the website.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, discuss your project and prepare a proposal or quotation.
- If you go ahead, to plan, deliver and support your project and to keep the records the law requires.
- To keep the website working and secure.
We rely on the information you voluntarily give us for the purpose you gave it, and on your consent. We do not sell your personal data, rent it out, or add you to marketing lists. We will not send promotional messages unless you ask us to.
Who else handles it
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, and only as far as they need to:
- Web3Forms — relays the contact form to our inbox.
- Google (Gmail) — our studio email.
- Vercel — hosts this website.
- Google Maps — only if you choose to load the map on the contact page.
Some of these providers store data outside India. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 12 months of our last conversation. If you become a client, we keep project records for as long as the project and any warranty last, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.
Keeping it safe
The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and access to our inbox is restricted to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable security practices and procedures to protect your data, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- withdraw your consent and ask us to erase it, where we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it or to meet a legal obligation;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in the event of death or incapacity;
- raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with our response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children
This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
